Magnetic resonance

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is widely used, a precise and non-invasive diagnostic method, irreplaceable in modern radiology diagnostics. The appearance of MRI devices and their application in medicine has greatly facilitated the work of doctors and accelerated the process of determining the health condition of the patient and changes on the examined part of the body and organs.

Magnetic resonance (MRI) gives a completely clear image to the professional staff of radiology specialists and technicians at the Eurodijagnostika clinic in Belgrade, thanks to the high quality of the MRI image with a cross-section of 0.4 mm, which is of great importance for proper diagnosis and recommending further treatment. The application of magnetic resonance imaging has shown best in the field of diagnostics of neurological diseases, diseases of the spine, blood vessel diseases, ligaments, joints, gynecological organs, but it remains essential in other fields too.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)  examinations are performed very quickly and easily and do not leave any damage to the organism, that is, there is no radiation. Examinations are completely painless and simple, however,  due to the shape of the device they can cause a certain amount of discomfort, so it is very important that you mention to the staff of the Eurodijagnostika Belgrade clinic if you have a problem with claustrophobia.

For your MRI examination to be successful, and the image to be clear, it is necessary to remove all your jewelry and any other accessories if you wear them, in short, it is necessary to remove all the metal objects from your body. For that reason, when you call the Eurodijagnostika Belgrade call center,  you should report heart pacemakers and metal implants. Doctors must also be informed about the patients’ chronic health problems, as well as the presence of pregnancy.

We emphasize that, for a detailed review of the patient's health condition, it is necessary to bring complete documentation and medical history for examination.

Finally, if you are a patient with higher body weight, before coming to the examination, please consult a doctor whether the MRΙ examination is adequate for your weight. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide magnetic resonance (MRI) imaging to patients with 130 kg (285 lbs) and more, while slightly less obese people need to call our call center for more details.

Due to the exceptional situation caused by the Covid-19 virus, we ask all our patients to come to the Eurodijagnostika Clinic in Belgrade with a protective face mask, unaccompanied (unless if it is not necessary, in which case a comfortable space in the waiting area will be provided) and maintain the recommended distance of 2 meters.
